We don't have many shows here at this time of the year. The Great Dane Club held an Open Show on the 21st of November at Coventry. Best In Show went to Mrs. Musetta Saville's harlequin bitch, Pepperharrow Phyllis. She was handled by Matte Pakerinen and she won Open Bitch and Harlequin Bitch. She was bred by Musetta and sired by Ch. Batworth Tormento at Metrella and out of Pepperharrow Phlanders.
Mrs. Anne
Morris judged the fawns and had drawn a much larger entry
than any of the other colours. Miss Judith Middleton
judged blacks and blues and Ms Vickie Roach judged the
brindles and harlequins. Mrs. Jean Taylor judged the
Veterans and Best In Show. Best In Show went to the
harlequin Ravendane Mayar Yacanto, bred and owned by Miss
Walton, sired by Damarkann MacBeth, out of Ravendane Glen
Derry. Reserve Best In Show went to the fawn Champion
Dainwood King Cobra, bred and owned by Di Duncalf, sired
by Champion Dainwood Taken By Force, out of Dainwood Sole
Survivor.
The
entries for several Championship Shows are closing very
soon or have just closed and some are outdoors, so, maybe
Spring is just around the corner. |
